Jason Kelce has finally answered the question on every football fan’s lips this week… why is his Philadelphia Eagles locker so messy?

The veteran Eagles center, who is still weighing up whether to hang up his cleats after their recent playoff exit, saw a photo of his overflowing locker at Philadelphia’s training facility go viral last week.

After the media were granted access to the locker room for interviews, CBS Sports reporter Jeff Kerr shared a picture on X of Kelce’s space, which was cluttered with boxes, rival jerseys, action figures, jackets and more.

‘Jordan Mailata told me all that s**t is from the podcast,’ Kerr wrote. ‘Says he needs to start one to get free s**t’.

Yet during the latest episode of his and brother Travis’ award-winning New Heights podcast, Kelce admitted he takes personal responsibility for the state of his locker.

But on the latest episode of New Heights with brother Travis, the 36-year-old admits he can’t blame his messy locker on the success of the podcast

‘We let these wonderful media members into our locker room and they just s**t on us,’ Kelce joked. ‘Come on now… this has nothing to do with why you were in the locker room Jeff!’

He then added: ‘You will get a lot of stuff sent to you [because of the podcast]. I can’t deny though… I can’t blame all of this on the podcast. I think I’m just a messy human being.’

Travis replied: ‘I’ve personally told everybody at the Chiefs organization, ‘cos I never send stuff to the facility, so I’m like if I don’t give you a heads up, you can just toss it. I don’t want that s**t piling up like this.

‘It’s the worst. I’ve had a locker where it just gets stacked up and it looks like a warehouse. You’re just like, “what am I doing?”‘

Jason and Travis’ New Heights podcast has become a phenomenon since launching in September 2022, with 1.94 million people now subscribed on YouTube.

The show has benefitted from Travis’ high-profile romance with Taylor Swift in recent months, attracting a new legion of fans courtesy of the pop sensation’s relationship with an NFL star.

‘All of those boxes in front are podcast boxes, or people sending it in relation to the podcast,’ Jason continued about his overflowing locker.

‘That pink box is a box of Girl Scout cookies from I think two years ago. I’m a hoarder.’

Jason has not only gone viral for his untidy locker-room setup of late, nevertheless, with the 36-year-old also seenripping off his shirt and chugging beer in the stands at Travis’ latest game for the Kansas City Chiefs.

After his brother scored a touchdown for the Chiefs in their playoff game against the Buffalo Bills, cameras cut to an ecstatic, shirtless Kelce celebrating wildly among fans – which Swift is said to have ‘absolutely loved’.

‘I got caught up in the shenanigans and thought: “I’ve got to have my shirt off at some point,”‘ Jason said about his memorable antics.

‘But I can’t take my shirt off in the box, who takes their shirt off in the box? So I’m like: this is what I’m gonna do. I’m going to take my shirt off and I’m jumping out of this box, and then I can be like my Buffalo Bills Mafia compadres.

‘This is how my mind works after 40 Miller Lites.’
