Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce recently spoke out in support of his wife, Kylie, on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter). This statement came shortly after he and his brother, Travis Kelce, publicly addressed controversial comments made by Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker during a graduation speech.
Jason was replying to a user on X who had labeled Kylie as a “homemaker with a messy home.” He emphasized, “Kylie is not just a homemaker to me; she’s my wife and the mother of our children.
She has her own career, just as I do, and together, we strive to maintain our home as best as we can.”
He went on to describe his marriage as a collaborative “partnership” where he and Kylie see each other as “equals” navigating life and parenting together. “Our main goals are to love, support, and commit to each other and our family.
We’re both involved in raising our kids, managing our careers, and keeping our household running. The mess is a shared responsibility, especially with three young kids, demanding schedules, and our relaxed attitudes towards tidiness,” Jason Kelce elaborated.
In a social media update, Jason Kelce reacted to the backlash over Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s contentious remarks made during a May 11 speech at Benedictine College. Butker’s commentary, which criticized the teachings given to women on issues such as abortion, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and surrogacy, has drawn heavy criticism from various quarters including the NFL, Maria Shriver, and Flavor Flav, alongside several other public figures.
Butker, undeterred, doubled down on his stance in a subsequent address on May 24 at the Courage Under Fire event in Nashville. CNN reports that Butker defended his earlier speech, stating, “If it wasn’t clear that the timeless Catholic values are hated by many, it is now.”
Additionally, an incident where Jason Kelce humorously mocked his wife Kylie in the presence of Harrison Butker has also been circulating online.
Retired NFL icon Jason Kelce shared his thoughts on what might have driven seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady to willingly participate in a harsh comedy roast earlier in the month. Speaking on “The New Heights” podcast alongside his brother Travis, the recently retired Kelce expressed his bewilderment at the appeal of celebrity roasts, despite acknowledging the entertainment value of the event featuring Brady.
Jason Kelce commented on the high-profile nature of the roast, noting the presence of numerous legendary NFL figures and A-list celebrities, as well as the strong turnout from members of the former Patriots dynasty in support of Brady. However, Kelce couldn’t hide his confusion over the concept of roasts, questioning the enjoyment people get from being humorously criticized in such a public manner.
In related news, Jason Kelce has caught the public’s eye off the field as well, following a noticeable transformation where he appeared significantly slimmer in a recent photo, revealing a 20-pound weight loss since leaving the NFL.
