(TMX/Gray News) – Travis and Jason Kelce are thanking Swifties for helping their “New Heights” podcast win Podcast of the Year at the 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards on Monday.
The famous football brothers missed the ceremony at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, but shared a video of themselves accepting the award and thanking “92%ers,” a football term they came to use for their fan base on their podcast.
“Podcast of the year … it’s big s***,” Travis Kelce, 34, said in the video.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently jetted back from Singapore with pop-star girlfriend Taylor Swift just in time to attend the Gucci Oscars afterparty on Sunday night.
“Listen, this is an incredible honor, especially for two jabronis like us,” said recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, 36. “To receive an award like this is beyond humbling and we would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all the 92%ers out there — a.k.a. Swifties — who voted for us to win this award.”
“You guys make this show what it is,” Travis said. “We truly appreciate it. Thank you again to iHeartPodcast Awards. To the 92%ers, thank you guys as well.”
The brothers launched “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” in September 2022, talking about football, family, and pop culture.
Season two of the podcast began just as Travis’s romance with the Grammy-winner began heating up.
Since Swift began appearing at Chiefs games in support of Travis, Swifties have been tuning in not just to the NFL but to the “New Heights” podcast, where she regularly comes up in conversation.
On an episode last week, Travis talked about joining Swift in Sydney for the Australia leg of her Eras Tour and described her as “the biggest and best thing possible.”
