People were completely astonished and infuriated about how the Chicago Bulls treated Scottie Pippen earlier on his career. He signed a terrible 7-year, 18-million dollar deal that made him the 122nd player in the highest-paid players in the league with just around 2.7 million a year entering the 1997-98 season.

However, Pippen made sure to get his bag later on in his career. He earned almost 80 million over five years with he Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers and even ended up making over 15 million more than Jordan throughout the years, as we broke it down in this article.

We all know Michael Jordan was a master of the fine art of trash-talking, and so was Reggie Miller. However, it seems like the Black Cat took things a bit too far during their matchups, so Miller refuses to forgive him. Up to this day, there’s still no love between the two and Miller went as far as to tell Dan Patrick that he’d punch Jordan:

“Patrick: What would you say if you sat down with him at dinner?

Miller: (pause)…..I might punch him

Patrick: Are you being serious?

Miller: (pause)….man, there was a lot of stuff being thrown back and forth…” Miller claimed.

Michael Jordan was a different kind of player. He was a competitive beast that not only wanted to win but to prove that he didn’t need any help to pull it off. That’s why he claimed that he would never join a ‘Superteam’ or try and win a ring with a team other than the Chicago Bulls:

“Did I ever think if I would want to win a championship with another team? (…) No, I really never thought about it. I’ve always played in Chicago and I’d like to keep winning Championships in Chicago(…). No, I’m not coming to LA, No, I’m not going to Golden State, I’m sorry. New York Even,” claimed His Airness.

Following quite an impressive stint as a North Carolina Tar Heel, Michael Jordan was one of the most coveted players entering the NBA Draft. But with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers already sold on big men, he was poised to find his way to the Windy City and join the Chicago Bulls. That didn’t stop the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers from trying to make a run at Jordan during Draft night, according to then-General Manager Rod Thorn. Gladly for him and Bulls fans, he turned down all offers for the shooting guard:

“We had really strong offers for Michael from both Philadelphia + Dallas. Plus other lesser offers. Couldn’t do it,” Thorn told ESPN.

It came to everybody’s attention that Michael Jordan was enjoying some kind of spiritous beverage during his interview for ‘The Last Dance’, but nobody had a clue as to what he was drinking. Well, apparently, it was an $1800 signature tequila.

Jordan owns Cincoro Tequila with the owners of the Lakers, Celtics, and Bucks, so he was enjoying a fine glass of his preferred “Extra Añejo” while sharing some stories about his career.

“We decided to do our own tequila. You know, if we sell it, we sell it. If not, at least we got enough to drink,” Jordan told Craig Melvin back in 2019, as we reported earlier.

Ron Harper Says LeBron Is Not In Conversation With Michael Jordan, He Is Like Magic Johnson And Oscar Robertson

The Last Dance has once again fueled the debate about whether LeBron James should be in the GOAT conversation. Still, most former hoopers still don’t think James should be ranked as high as Jordan. However, they don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing.

Ron Harper, for instance, recently claimed that Jordan should be on a tier of his own, hile James should be next to former greats of the likes of Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson:

“When you look at LeBron James, you have to think of Oscar Robertson or Magic Johnson – big guards who can do everything. One thing they don’t give MJ credit for was his defense. MJ was an aggressive defensive player – one of the best of all-time at that two-guard spot. He doesn’t get any credit for that because everyone wants to talk about the way he scored the basketball, but MJ was a great defensive ballplayer too. So I don’t really put LeBron in that MJ conversation. I put LeBron with those big guys”, Harper told Hoopshype.
