One of the greatest centers in NFL history might have a new challenge ahead. Former Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason Kelce is being pursued by ESPN for a spot on the “Monday Night Football” panel, per reports from The Athletic.

Amazon Prime, CBS, NBC (and potentially more) are all also reportedly targeting Kelce for a role as a on-air analyst. ESPN is reportedly set to undergo a “shake-up” to its “Monday Night Football” pregame crew, and Kelce appears to be a top priority.

The future Hall of Fame center officially hung up his cleats earlier this month, announcing his retirement in an emotional press conference.

The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reports that Robert Griffin III’s spot could be in jeopardy with Kelce seen as a potential replacement. Last year’s Monday Night pregame show featured host Scott Van Pelt with Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, Adam Schefter, Michelle Beisner-Buck and Griffin III.

ESPN has historically invested heavily in its MNF product, including bringing over Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to shore up the booth before the 2022 season.

Kelce’s big personality, expansive football knowledge and growing fame thanks to his appearacnes alongside brother Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift make him a hot commodity in sports media.
