In a recent interview conducted by Pablo Torre this week, a wild and unconventional story unfolded as Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, and Larsa Pippen, the former wife of Scottie Pippen, took center stage.
What sets this relationship apart is the peculiar motivation that drives it, a fact both Marcus and Larsa openly acknowledged during their candid conversation with Torre and Charlotte Wilder.
“In terms of aesthetics, it might not look pretty,” Pippen commented about the unique aspect of their relationship. “Just hearing about it doesn’t impress people much.” Despite appearances, both seem happy, and most of the interview seems fairly ordinary (or as ordinary as it can be in that context).
Perhaps the most widely circulated moment in the interview was when Marcus Jordan mentioned that he wants his father to be his best man when he marries Larsa, adding another layer of peculiarity to the situation. However, Marcus Jordan also provided essential context about how his father approached the relationship with his former teammate’s ex-wife, and according to Marcus, Michael Jordan was supportive.
Marcus Jordan stated, “The most important thing I got from my dad is ‘be a man.’ In the end, as long as I’m happy, he’s happy. He’s never intervened in my dating life prior to Larsa, and he’s not going to start now.”
There will likely be more drama to come from this relationship in the future as the couple is set to appear on The Real Housewives of Miami. However, for now, Jordan and Larsa seem to be growing stronger, and Michael Jordan is not intervening. If someone can get Scottie Pippen an exclusive platform, that might ignite some fireworks.
