Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce is in high demand with four TV networks after he announced his retirement from his impressive NFL career.
The star confirmed his retirement earlier this month, ending a 13-year run at Lincoln Financial Field where he had one of the best offensive line careers in recent times. The 36 year old was named first-team All-Pro six times and won the Super Bowl in 2018.Kelce gave an emotional press conference to confirm his decision to retire after the Eagles’ surprise loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wildcard round of the playoffs. But it seems his time in football isn’t over yet, as nearly all the top TV networks are vying for him to be a broadcaster next season.
The Athletic reports that ESPN, NBC, CBS and Amazon Prime Video are all trying to secure a deal for the 36 year old to join their teams next season. FOX is reportedly not in the race. ESPN has made a particularly “aggressive” move, with plans for Kelce to join its Monday Night Football coverage, likely taking over from former Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Taylor Swift and her parents reportedly celebrated Christmas with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his dad
Jason Kelce, along with his brother and Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, has become a beloved figure in America over the past year. This is largely due to their successful “New Heights” podcast and Travis’s relationship with Taylor Swift, which has catapulted them into mainstream fame.
Last season, Jason made a guest appearance on Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage. However, it seems ESPN thinks his skills and charm would be better suited to an analysis panel rather than as a colour commentator.

The news of Jason’s potential TV career comes as new Eagles running back Saquon Barkley urged him to reconsider his retirement decision. The former New York Giants star expressed his excitement about joining the Eagles on “New Heights” this week.
He said: “I’m like a kid in a candy store. I’m happy. I got a fresh start. I can’t wait to meet everybody and just go out there and play ball,”. In response to Kelce’s comment that his old team will be fun to watch next season, Barkley hinted at wanting the future Hall of Famer to return for another season. He said: “You don’t gotta watch it, you know.”
Jason has confessed that he’ll miss not being able to play alongside the two-time Pro Bowler. “So you know Saquon is entering a good situation in Philadelphia,” he said. “Social media has been non-stop saying, ‘Jason you sure you want to retire? ‘”.
“And I’m like yeah I’m pretty positive even though you know I’m a little bit upset how we waited ’til I retired to make a move like [signing Barkley] but you know it’s fine, it’ll work out great.”
