The football podcast that Jason and Travis Kelce host together scored a celebration-worthy achievement less than two months after hitting an impressive milestone on YouTube.

In late January, the Kelce brothers announced during an episode of their New Heights podcast that the show had accumulated more than 2 million YouTube subscribers, a total that has since climbed to more than 2.3 million. At the time, the show also ranked as the top sports podcast in several countries. The Kelce brothers can now add a new accomplishment to their podcast’s growing list: The show received the Best Sports Podcast award from The Podcast Academy during a ceremony this week. The podcast-focused organization announced New Heights’ win during the Tuesday, March 26, Awards for Excellence in Audio, the academy’s fourth annual awards show, also known as the Ambies. Tuesday’s ceremony was held at the JW Marriott L.A. Live in Los Angeles and was hosted by Trixie Mattel, the third winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.

Six other podcasts were nominated in the Best Sports category: All the SmokeFour Years of Heat, Heart of the GameReclaimed: The Forgotten LeagueThe Lead and The Playcallers.

The Ambies’ presenters told audience members that they had been alerted that neither Jason, 36, nor Travis, 34, would be available to attend the show and receive their award in person.

The Podcast Academy shared the news of the Kelce brothers’ win with its social media followers on March 27. New Heights retweeted the announcement shortly after it was posted.

New Heights has been going strong since it debuted in September 2022. The Kelce brothers, who were already popular among many Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs fans for their successes in the NFL, reached a new level of fame when their teams played in the 2023 Super Bowl. The game marked the first time two brothers competed in the same Super Bowl on opposite teams.

The Kelce family received even more attention in the last year after Travis began dating pop star Taylor Swift.
