Kylie is married to Jason Kelce, the Philadelphia Eagles’ center who announced his retirement from the NFL following his team’s loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.
Donna and Kylie’s shared passions
Donna Kelce praised Kylie as a standup individual who takes everything onto herself, noting, “She is just one of those individuals that doesn’t need any help.”
Donna expressed admiration for Kylie’s independence and shared activities they both enjoy, saying, “We’re very similar in our likes and dislikes and how we feel about the world and everything that goes on in the United States.”
The Kelce matriarch highlighted their shared love for women’s sports and other “really fun things,” deepening the connection between the two.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Donna, who goes by the name “Dee Dee” to her grandchildren, shared her joy in witnessing the unique qualities of Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, revealing that “I like seeing Wyatt’s articulate, confident growth into her own identity. Elliotte’s sweet disposition and loving nature – while still showing traits of a toddler. And Bennett’s [got a] chill, independent, and happy temperament.”
