James is ecstatic by God of War Ragnarok’s amazing accomplishment.

The much awaited PlayStation game was launched earlier this month after a near five-year wait. It wasn’t quite required, but it was officially announced just before the PlayStation 5 was released in 2020, giving Sony plenty of time to spark excitement. Fans were already looking forward to this game after the last one’s amazing performance, so when Sony kept quiet for over a whole year before repeating that silence before the game’s 2022 release, people were utterly confused. Many were so desperate for news that if they didn’t get it for a long while, some began to worry that the game wouldn’t go well.

God of War Ragnarok, the PlayStation exclusive game with the fastest sales ever, has now launched to incredible critical acclaim and multiple award nominations. With more than 5.1 million copies sold in the game’s first week, Sony was ecstatic, and now one more important person is joining in on the fun. Dressed as Kratos, LeBron James rushed to Twitter to share his happiness over God of War Ragnarok’s victory. John Trevolta and Ben Stiller made an appearance alongside the NBA phenom in a recent God of War: Ragnarok advertisement. The difficulties Kratos had with his son Atrues are similar to the issues the three celebrities faced when they participated in group therapy with their kids. LeBron James seems to be a fan of the series after all, based on the hilarious ad that received a lot of attention.

LeBron James hasn’t said anything further about the match, but it’s great to have such a big name backing one of the biggest games of 2022. Which award Sony will take home at The Game Awards the next week is presently uncertain. The next God of War game’s release date is also uncertain, although it seems Sony Santa Monica will approach cautiously once again.
