Six months after his departure, the youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reportedly rejoined the prestigious high school basketball program.
In May, Bryce transferred to Campbell High School following his sophomore year.
Concurrently, his sibling Bronny transferred to USC for his freshman year of college, departing Sierra Canyon.
He exercised with Chris Paul Jr., the son of Chris Paul, at Campbell High School and competed in the Section 7 tournament in Arizona.
During the summer, Bryce also participated in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball league.
ESPN reports that the James family contributed to the construction of a new athletic facility on the Campbell High campus.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard, however, was once more active in August, transferring his skills to Notre Dame, the defending CIF State Division I champions.
He reportedly returned to Sierra Canyon after spending only three months with the team, as reported by Sports Illustrated.
Had Bryce remained at Notre Dame, he would have been absent for half the season, given that the James family did not change residency following the 16-year-old’s enrollment at the Sherman Oaks institution in the autumn.
This is not the case at Sierra Canyon, and the guard could be eligible to return to the court as early as this week, given that he did not appear in a single game for Notre Dame.
The Trailblazers recorded three consecutive victories to begin the 2023-24 season.
As a sophomore, Bryce averaged merely 3.8 points per game in 12 varsity appearances for Sierra Canyon.
However, college programs have closely monitored the athletic prospect’s development.
Already receiving offers from Ohio State and Duquesne University, Bryce, who will be eligible to declare for the NBA draft in 2026, is regarded as a four-star prospect.
A year ago, he entered into a name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreement with LeBron’s agency, Klutch Sports.
In the meantime, the 19-time NBA All-Star just achieved another milestone by surpassing 39,000 career points in Tuesday’s 131-99 victory over the Utah Jazz.
For the first fourteen games of the 2023-24 NBA season, LeBron averaged 25.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists.
