Bronny James–whose real name is LeBron James Jr.–has gotten a lot of attention because he’s the son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. Being named as Junior has only made things extra complicated for him since he’s always being compared to his really accomplished dad.

With that being said, it’s not a surprise that he has no plans to name his son, if he were to have one in the future, LeBron James III.

Bronny was asked that question recently and responded with just two words: “Absolutely not.”

While Bronny James didn’t provide any explanation for his answer, he didn’t really need to. After all, even LeBron James himself said years ago that he regrets naming his eldest child after him due to the associated pressure it brings.

Bronny is now trying to get out of his dad’s shadow as a hooper and pave his own path towards the NBA. He already got started after impressing in the Draft Combine, but there’s still a ton of work to be done.

Here’s to hoping that Bronny will be able to fulfill his goal of becoming an NBA player with his abilities and not because of his name.
