Decades before Stephen Curry became an NBA superstar, he was just known as the son of an NBA player. Former player Rex Chapman shared memories of babysitting Stephen with Dell Curry and Muggsy Bogues in the late 1980s when they were teammates on the Charlotte Hornets. Chapman recalled a road trip where he joked that baby Steph was the best player of the group. Dell Curry and Chapman were teammates for four years and neighbors in Charlotte. Chapman fondly remembers babysitting Stephen before leaving the team in 1992. Dell Curry was unsure of his son’s NBA future until he saw him shine in college, leading Davidson to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. After a standout college career, Curry was drafted by the Warriors in 2009 and went on to achieve MVP status in the NBA.
