In an interview with Grow, Durant described his childhood and the struggles he experienced, as well as the investments he made to become one of the richest players in NBA history.
He spoke about the sacrifices that his mother and he made for each other during his formative years.
“Hard work! Plain and simple. It was so clear to me at a young age that if you didn’t get up every day and work till it was dark, you weren’t eating. So working hard and never cutting corners wasn’t even a question for me because we were starving”, Durant said.
