The first birthday celebration for Riley Russell, the darling baby of NBA great D’Angelo Russell and his partner Laura Ivaniukas, was a slam dunk. Everyone wished they had gotten an invitation to the party.
The party was a magnificent spectacle of purple and gold, paying tribute to the Los Angeles Lakers, the franchise D’Angelo Russell now proudly represents once again. It was only right that D’Angelo, who last played for the Lakers in 2017, would celebrate his birthday with a Lakers theme, given that he will be making a victorious return to the team this year as the point guard.
Riley’s Lakers-inspired attire dominated the show. The toddler looked the part of a future basketball great in his or her small Lakers jersey. Basketball player cards, posters, and banners were used as decorations, creating a genuine NBA vibe that had everyone giddy with anticipation.
Fans are excited to see what D’Angelo Russell can do for the Lakers this season as they prepare to play their first preseason game on October 7 against the Golden State Warriors. The party for Riley, which was themed like the Lakers, further added to the widespread belief that he is about to have a breakout season.
We will be keeping a close eye on this future Lakers MVP until the team takes the court. Riley, you’re one year old today! Your basketball-themed party was a home run, and we wish you and your loved ones all the best.
