The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly shopping one of their top pass-rushers as the 2024 league new year draws closer.

According to a report from Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Philadelphia Eagles are engaged in “trade calls on” veteran defensive end Josh Sweat. The 26-year-old has one year remaining on his contract.

The Eagles have already lost All-Pro center Jason Kelce to retirement, and veteran safety Kevin Byard was released in a cap-saving move. Defensive linemen Fletcher Cox is a pending free agent as well, with retirement a possibility.

Another star Eagles pass-rusher, Haason Reddick, has also been heavily mentioned in trade rumors. And now it looks like GM Howie Roseman is looking to move on from

The Eagles have two promising young talents on the defensive line in Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter, who can expect larger roles in 2024. Still, it’s hard to believe that an Eagles’ front seven that racked up 70 sacks in the 2022 season is already undergoing so much change in just one offseason.
