The Kansas City Chiefs own seven picks in the 2024 NFL draft, starting with the No. 32 pick in Round 1. The back-to-back Super Bowl champions re-signed pass-rusher Chris Jones to a five-year, $95 million deal at the start of free agency, but traded safety L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans.

The Chiefs also added wide receiver Marquise Brown, but still don’t have a true No. 1 target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City Chiefs 2024 draft picks

Round 1: No. 32
Round 2: No. 64
Round 3: No. 95
Round 4: No. 131
Round 5: No. 159 (via Dallas)
Round 5: No. 173*
Round 7: No. 221 (from Tennessee via Carolina)

Top three needs: WR, OT, RB. Last season’s starting left tackle, Donovan Smith, is a free agent. The Chiefs have Wanya Morris, a third-round pick last season, as the obvious in-house candidate to replace him, but is Morris ready? And do the Chiefs trust him with such a role?

Elsewhere on offense, the Chiefs have holes to fill at wide receiver even after signing Brown. Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are back at running back, but Jerick McKinnon remains a free agent. — Adam Teicher
