Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes sat courtside to watch the action between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.
But the American Airlines Center wasn’t exactly kind to Kelce, booing him when he was shown on screen.
Kelce looked stunned – whether or not he was feigning shock is up to the viewer.
When Mahomes, the suburban Dallas native was put on the jumbotron, he was met with applause and cheers.
The Chiefs quarterback got up and turned around to pump the crowd up with 12 minutes remaining in the second quarter.
After a light-hearted banter yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes reclaimed the Mavs’ home turf today from tight end Travis Kelce. The drama unfolded after the NHL tweeted a gif of Kelce at the Stanley Cup matchup between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers on May 26, 2024. The ‘Takeover’ was completed today during the Mavs vs. Wolves NBA playoffs on May 27, 2024. Mahomes, accompanied by former Miami Heat star Victor Oladipo, made a grand entrance.
