Taylor Swift celebrated her 34th birthday on Wednesday after a life-changing year.

The past 12 months has been rollercoaster ride for the songstress, who kicked off with her record-breaking tour in March.

And while her career continues to sky-rocket with the singer achieving billionaire status and becoming the most streamed artist in the world for 2023, Taylor has also had her fair share of heartache.

Earlier this year, the singer split from her long-term partner Joe Alwyn and had a short-lived fling with The 1975 bandmember Matty Healy.

After news of the pair’s split broke on April 9, fans took to Twitter to point out that Swift played performed song ‘The 1’ for the first time ever on March 31.

Fans speculated her performance of the song – in which a narrator laments about breaking up with a possible soulmate – was Swift’s way of hinting she had split from Alwyn. The song replaced ‘Invisible String’ on the setlist – a song about soulmates being drawn together by fate.

The pair were also seen in NYC numerous times, leaving a recording studio and heading for dinner with her pals, Margaret Qualley, Phoebe Bridgers and Zoe Kravitz.

But Taylor and Matty split after two months of dating.

The singer and Matty were last seen together on May 25 in New York City. The split also came three days after Matty was seen kissing a male security guard at a Denmark concert.

A source told People at the time: ‘She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved.’

We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.

‘By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.’
