It’s unlikely that Dominik Mysterio will be supporting the Philadephia Eagles anytime soon.

After losing to his father Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 39 thanks to an assist from Bad Bunny, the former North American Champion looked to once again attempt to embarrass his dad on The Grandest Stage. Targeting the Hall of Famer once again after he returned from injury, “Dirty Dom” aligned himself with Santos Escobar, setting up a tag team match at WrestleMania that saw Mysterio and Escobar face off against the former WWE Champion and Andrade, who was a last-minute replacement for Dragon Lee.

At WrestleMania, the match quickly descended into chaos as members of the LWO and Legado Del Fantasma fought all around the ringside area. As Escobar instructed The Judgment Day member to grab a chair, 2 large men in luchador masks prevented the interference. With team LWO capitalising on the interference, Mysterio pinned Escobar to win the match. Shortly after the victory, the masked men revealed themselves to be former and current Eagles players Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson.

“I Just Saw 2 Beer Belly Frat Boys”: Dominik Mysterio

Appearing on The Ringer, Mysterio was first asked if his alignment with Legado Del Fantasma is a sign of his defection from The Judgment Day:

“Not at all, let me cut you off right there. You may have seen me beating up the LWO and walking out with Legado Del Fantasma, but at the end of the day, I’m Judgment Day. My family is Judgment Day. We run the WWE if you can’t tell by seeing us on SmackDown, Raw, and hell, even when we have to go down to NXT and straighten those young kids out.”

Continuing, Mysterio gave his thoughts on the NFL stars ruining his match, adding that his dad is unable to get the job done on his own:

“But, as far as I see it — with the past two WrestleManias, it just seems that my dad constantly needs help from people to try and beat me. Last night, it was, I just saw two beer belly fat boys that came in the ring and decided to put their hands on me, which should have been a DQ, but whatever. It is what it is.”
