Like most of the country Monday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick

Mahomes took some time away from work to see a once-in-a-lifetime event unfolding in the skies above.

Mahomes and his family were a part of the estimated 180 million people living within the radius of the total solar eclipse.

NFL analyst Dov Kleiman shared on Twitter a video of Mahomes and his daughter looking at the solar eclipse through special glasses for the event.

In the video, Mahomes’ wife asked their daughter what she saw, and the little girl answered that she saw the moon.

The cute six-second video also shows another one of the couple’s children running in the background as Patrick and his daughter stare into the sky.

While the video did not identify where the Mahomes family was for the eclipse, the Chiefs’ star and three-time Super Bowl champion has a luxurious home in Kansas City that was in the path of the eclipse.

It’s been over seven years since a total solar eclipse has been visible in the United States with the last occurrence in 2017.
