The top names in hip-hop teamed up at the 2023 Grammy Awards!
At the 65th Grammy Awards on Sunday, JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Fridayy, John Legend, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and others came together on stage to perform Khaled’s nominated hit song, “God Did.”
The star-studded evening culminated in a performance that began with Khaled leading the way inside the Crypto.com Arena. Legend, Ross, Lil Wayne, JAY-Z, and Fridayy then joined him outside the arena.
The song, which was nominated for song of the year, best rap song, and best rap performance, was performed by the six hip-hop stars as the street was lighted up by purple neon lights.
Legend performed the piano as the musicians were seated at a buffet-style meal at one point.
“It breaks my heart,” Khaled uttered toward the conclusion of both the concert and the awards show. “They don’t think highly of us. It was God. We therefore performed an eight-minute Grammys show. Honor the Academy.”
The song can be found on Khaled’s self-titled album, which is also up for album of the year. Right before Khaled performed, Harry Styles won the prize for Harry’s House.

“I’ve always been a fan, not only of his dance routines but also of his music. From business to fatherhood, and to be at the top,” Khaled remarked. “It feels so fantastic for him to be so in love with music in this day and age, and for him to bless my CD the way he did makes me feel like he loves me even more. He is both my brother and my buddy, and he has taught me so much.”
