Paul Pierce savagely trolls Lakers after 20-point collapse vs. Nuggets

The Boston Celtics are enjoying a bit of a break after picking up a resounding 114-94 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.

Chances are they were tuning into the playoff action on Monday night since they had the day off, and if they did, they likely saw the Los Angeles Lakers throw away a 20-point lead in their 101-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

And on Tuesday morning, Paul Pierce hit the Lakers with quite a bit of trolling that will delight fans everywhere in Boston.

Pierce spent 15 of his 19 seasons in the NBA with the C’s, and he is one of the most well-respected players in franchise history.

Pierce has remained close to the team, frequently popping up at TD Garden sitting courtside to watch the current version of the team. Part of being from Boston involves hating the Lakers, and Pierce proved his loyalties still remain with the Celtics after he donned a “Who’s your daddy?” shirt during his appearance on “Undisputed” on Tuesday morning.

Nobody was doubting Pierce’s loyalty to the C’s, as he’s proven to be a great ambassador for the team in retirement. But part of the job involves continuing to hold a deep hatred for their longtime rival in the Lakers, so it shouldn’t exactly come as a surprise that he decided to rub salt in their wounds after their crushing loss to the Nuggets in Game 2.
